Alwarthirunagari Perumal Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi temples dedicated to Vishnu and also a Divya Desam. It is also a Navagraha with Guru (Jupiter) as its deity. This temple has a Swayambhu Murti (Self Appeared) of Lord Vishnu in a standing posture with His feet buried in the ground. Mata Lakshmi and Bhoodevi are also enshrined here.
