Then you may be aware that registration is compulsory. Registration of pilgrims has been started in 2014 and so is the case this year. After registration, you will be issued a Biometric Pass which will be needed and helpful at various stages of the Yatra.
There is an option of registering offline also. The Government of Uttarakhand has set up 14 counters at the following places: Haridwar (2), Rishikesh (2), Uttarkashi (2), Janki Chatti, Guptkashi, Phata, Sonprayag, Kedarnath, Govindghat, Gangotri, and Pandukeshwar.
To avoid standing in queues and last-minute hassle, online registration is highly recommended.

Make sure you have a functional email address, mobile number, ID Proof like Aadhar Number, PAN Number, Driving license, or Voter ID with you. A nominal fee of Rs 50/ will be charged.
Make sure your documents are readable and photos clear.
Step 1: Fill up the online registration form 2021.
Step 2: Once all the details are filled in, you will have to log in to your email address and check its inbox for a verification link. Once you click on the link and activate it, you will be asked to log in again with the password.
Step 3: A window named ‘Important Instructions’ would open up. Go to its bottom link and click on ‘Book Darshans’.
Step 4: This will open up a booking window. Here you will be asked to fill in further details like the number of pilgrims, the destinations you will visit. Also, choose the dates you plan to make the Chardham Yatra.
Step 5: This will open up a confirmation tab. Recheck the details, click on the confirm tab.
Step 6: You will be asked to fill in the details of your co-passengers. Then, click proceed.
Step 7: This will open up a payment window. You can choose the preferred mode of payment, pay the fees of Rs 50 and additional charges if any.
Once done, you are successfully registered for the Char Dham Yatra 2021. You will receive a Char Dham Biometric and Registration Slip in your email.
