Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga:-
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is a Shiv Mandir on Omkar mountain an island in mid-Narmada, It is a revered Hindu temple that is the center of extreme faith. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada river; the shape of the island is said to be like the Hindu ॐ symbol.
There are 12 jyotirlingas in the world and omkareshwar is one of them.
On completion of pilgrimage, all the Hindus come here and offer the holy water. Only then their visit to other pilgrimage is considered to be complete.
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple Architecture:-
It has a grand Sabha Mandap (meeting or prayer hall) standing on about 60 huge brownstone pillar (14 feet high), elaborately carved with a curious frieze and fillet of satyr-like figures.
The temple is 5 storeyed each having a different deity like
- Mahakaleshwar
It is on the first floor and has the beautiful look of Maa Narmada.
- Siddnath, Gupteshwar, and Dhwajeshwar temples
They are located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.
Omkareshwar Temple Bhakti Aarti Timings:-
There are three regular ‘Pujas’ performed.
The morning one did by the temple trust known as Mangala Aarti and Naavidya Bhog.
The afternoon one by the priest of Scindia state and
The evening one by the priest of the Holkar state is known as Evening Aarti.

It is always crowded with pilgrims, coming after a bath in the Narmada and with pots full of Narmada water, coconuts, and articles of worship, many of them performing Abhishek or special worships through the priests.
The booking of Vip Darshan is available online, which will cost 500rs each.
Omkareshwar Temple Parikrama path:-
Circular path around omkar hill is the parikrama path, its approximate 7KM has many ups and downs stairs. On this parikrama path, there are several temples and ashrams on the way. The confluence of two rivers is also on the path.

It is connected to Indore Khandawa and Ujjain by regular bus services.
