Kutch Rann Utsav 2023: “Rann of Kutch” is a massive expanse of cracked Earth, inland from the sea, that promises to take your breath away. That is a unique region in Gujarat and one of the world’s largest desserts.

It is a carnival of Dance, Music, nature beauty of white Rann where you can experience tent city and many more things.

Why Is Rann Utsav Celebrated?

The Rann Festival is at the edge of Gujarat Tourism and was founded in 2006 and inaugurated by the Chief and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The festival began with the motive of flourishing the tourism industry and attracting an audience globally to Gujarat. The festival takes place every year in winter in the white Rann of Kutch.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Rann Utsav is from November to February and especially on the full moon day. This is really the best time to visit Kutch when the weather is pleasant and perfect for sightseeing.

Rann Utsav Important Tips

  • To visit white rann permit is required and slots are allotted of 1 to 2 hours to visit.
  • The best time to visit white rann is during the early morning and in the evening during sunset.
  • If you have to stay in a tent city or white rann resort then they will provide a bus service to reach white rann.

How to Get a White Rann Visit Permit

To visit the white Rann of Kutch it requires permission to visit. If have booked any hotel or resort ask them for the permit.

  • Step 2: Click on the “Get your permit” button
  • Step 3: Select the date
  • Step 4: Select the number of travellers
  • Step 5: Mention your name and vehicle number
  • Step 6: Upload ID Proof (any one person)
  • Step 7: Check the details and complete the payment process.
  • Step 8: Download the receipt of the permit and show it at the time of checkpoint at the white rann
