About Tulsishyam Temple
Tulsishyam temple in the village of the same name is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Located in the idyllic surroundings of Sasan Gir reserve forest, Tulsishyam is about 30 km from Una. It is believed Lord Krishna killed a demon called Tul at this place. The temple is about seven hundred years old but the Murti that is enshrined is said to be nearly 3000 years old. The temple is on the top of a small hill and there are 100 steps leading up to it.
Hot Water Springs
One interesting feature here is the Hot Water springs. These are in three sections with hot water of increasing temperatures. The third Kund is at boiling point. The Kunds are known as ‘Taptodak’. The waters are said to have curative properties. Adjacent to this hot water spring is the ancient Tulsi-Rukmini Temple.
