1. City Palace, Udaipur
City Palace, Udaipur, is a palace complex situated in the city.
The palace is located on the east bank of Lake Pichola
It was built nearly 400 years ago, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty.
2. Lake Pichola
Lake Pichola is an artificial fresh water lake, created in the year 1362 AD.
The lakes around Udaipur were primarily created by building dams to meet the drinking water and irrigation needs of the city.
Two islands, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, and several palaces are located within Pichola Lake
3. Jagdish Temple
Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur just outside the royal palace.
It has been in continuous worship since 1651.
The temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai but is now called Jagdish-Ji.
It is a major monument in Udaipur.
4. Jag Mandir
Jag Mandir is a palace built on an island in Lake Pichola.
It is also called the “Lake Garden Palace”.
Its construction is credited to three Maharanas of the Sisodia Rajputs of Mewar kingdom.
5. Fateh Sagar Lake
Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur.
It is constructed north-west of Udaipur, to the north of Lake Pichola.

6. Monsoon Palaces
The Monsoon Palace, also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace overlooks the Fateh Sagar Lake.
It is named Sajjangarh after Maharana Sajjan Singh of the Mewar Dynasty.
It was built chiefly to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace.
The palace offers a panoramic view of the city’s lakes, palaces, and surrounding countryside.
It is said that the Maharana built it at the top of the hill to get a view of his ancestral home, Chittaurgarh.
7. Sajjangarh Biological Park, Udaipur
This biological park is situated just beneath the Monsoon Palace.
It is around 4 km from the city center.

8. Saheliyon-ki-Bari
Saheliyon-ki-Bari is a major garden and a popular tourist space.
Sahelion Ki Bari was laid for a group of forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as part of her dowry.
It lies in the northern part of the city and has fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool, and marble elephants.

9. Gangaur Ghat

The Udaipur Solar Observatory (USO) is on an island in the Fateh Sagar Lake.

The observatory was built in 1976 by Dr. Arvind Bhatnagar
