Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam 2023: The temple of Srikalahasti located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, holds a lot of importance on Shivratri. The Kalahasti temple is known as the Kashi of the south. It is world-famous for the Rahu-Ketu SarpaDosha Nivarana poojas performed here. The temple is all set and decked up to celebrate Shivaratri, one of the significant religious festivals for Hindus. Although Mahashivaratri is for one day, the Utsav for Mahashivaratri lasts for 14 days.

About Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam 2023
The temple board is constructing three circles — Nandi, Bhakta Kannappa, and Shivaiah, on the highways that connect Nellore, Chennai, and Tirupati. The aim behind the ear circles was to attract devotees from all around the world.
3 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the temple on the day of Shivaratri. There will be no VIP darshan as decided by the temple board.
The utsav known as ‘Brahmostsavam’ is celebrated at the temple annually. The temple is all set and decked up with rangoli and light decorations to welcome the devotees. All the ‘Vahanams’ are ready with a fresh coat of paint to serve the lord.
The festivities started on 13 February and ends on February 25.
