As we know The Maha Kumbh Mela is going to be held at Prayagraj From January 13, 2025, to February 26, 2025. The Maha Kumbh Mela is going to be the biggest human gathering of the year 2025 and about 40-50 crore people will take part in it. The oldest Akhara Shri Panchdashnaam Avahan Akhara is going to take part in Prayagraj, Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.

History of Shri Panchdashnaam Avahan Akhara

The Shri Panch Dashnam Avahan Akhara is the first and foremost akhara of the Sanatani Hindu Religion established in the 6th century.

It is believed that Avahan Akhara was established in the year 547 by Adi Guru Shankaracharya. After establishing 4 mutts near 4 Dhams [Badrinath, Puri, Dwarka and Rameshwaram] Adi Guru Shankaracharya established Avahan Akhara to protect that mutts.

At the time of establishment, there were 52000 saint soldiers involved with Avahan Akhara.

Saints of Avahan Akhara worship lord Shiva and their prime god is Lord Ganesha.

Ahvahan Akhara was formerly known as Akhanda Akhara.

The full name of Ahvan Akhara is “Shree Shambhu Panchdashnam Ahvan Akhara”. Saint of “Shaiv Sampraday” are engaged with Ahvan Akhara.

Ahvan means a call, or summons which means the saints are prepared to fight the battle if someone is trying to harm their religion.

The headquarters of Ahvan Akhara is at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Kashi, Varanasi.

40000 saints of Avahan Akhara died in the battle of Rani Lakshmi bai vs Britishers from Lakshmibai side.
