Festivals Celebrated at Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple
Festival Aarattu is celebrated in Ettumanoor Mahadeva temple which is popularly known as Ettumanoor Ezharapponnana.
This is a 10-day festival held in the month of February march (Kumbham) and October-November.
At this festival, there are different rituals and customs followed by people and visitors also. The main ritual is to take a holy bath with deities.
By flag hosting the beginning of the festival is done and by taking the Holy bath the end of the festival is done.
There is no particular dress code but most men and women wear traditional clothes only. Men have to remove their shirts / T-shirts and women mostly wear saree and suits.
The best to visit Kerala is from December to February. These are months were weather is cool and you will enjoy travelling during these months.
