
Gadhada temple is one of the important places of pilgrimage for followers of Lord Swaminarayan. It was made under the supervision of Lord Swaminarayan. The land for construction was donated by Dada Khachar. Dada Khachar and his family were the devotees of Lord Swaminarayan. Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Gadhada (Devnagari: श्री स्वामिनारायण मन्दिर, गढडा) is known as Shri Gopinathji Dev mandir. It is a Hindu temple in Gadhada.
Lord Swaminarayan installed the idols on 9 October 1828. Gopinath and Harikrishna in the middle shrine, Dharma, Bhakti and Vasudeva in the western shrine Revti-Baldevji and Shri Krishna and Suryanarayanin in the eastern shrine.
On the path of the worship, there is the idol of lord Ghanshyam facing northward. This prasadi temple has prasadi items of Swaminarayan displayed in a museum at the temple.
In May 2012, the temple’s spires were plated with gold. It is the first temple in Gujarat to have golden spires. This exercise cost of the temple is 210 million approx.

On the southern side of the temple, there is a huge neem tree and the chamber of Lord Vasudeva. On the backside, there is the Akshar Ordi temple and Gangajalio.
Lord Swaminarayan and his saints used to take a bath in the Ghela River. There are prasad riverbeds – One is Narayan Dharo and the Second is Sahasra Dharo. There are small temples of Neelkanth and Hanuman on the banks of the river. Other holy places are Naliyeri Dhar for Hanuman temple[small mountain], Bhakti baug and Radhavav. It is around 2 km from Gadhada(swimming).
