The trek begins from Govind Ghat to Hemkund Sahib. The total distance of the trek is 20km which is divided into 2 parts i.e., from Govind Ghat to Ghangaria and another from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib.
The starting 9-10km of the trek is easy after moving further it is going to be difficult due to its altitude. The last 6 km trek is very difficult because of the atmosphere change and less oxygen at a height of 15000 feet makes it more difficult.
