On Monday, 6th April 2020 will be the 2618th birth anniversary of the Mahavir Swami. Mahavir Swami is also known as Vardhamana. He established the core of Jainism and the Swami is also 24th and the last Jain sage.
The Sage was born on the 13th day of the rising moon of Chaitra Month. Mahavir Swami was born in Kundalagrama. Located under the Vaishali district in the state of Bihar.
Mahavir Swami Jayanti is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by the Jain people. Jain Community arranges the Rath Yatra of the lord Mahavir Swami. But this time due to the lockdown this religious event will not be arranged. The reason is for avoiding the crowd and keep the social distances.
However, this special religious occasion will be celebrated with great joy and with all the events at the home by the Jainism community and devotees of Mahavir Swami.
For avoiding crowds the government has requested to celebrate festivals at home. While celebrating the festivals there can be a crowds gathering. And due to which the virus can be spread easily. Thus the government has ordered people not to come out of the home. And follow social distancing. Due to which the spreading of the Corona Virus will not be there.
Following the steps, the Mahavir Swami Birth anniversary will be celebrated at the Homes by the devotees and people of Jainism. It is one of the good steps taken to stop the spreading of dangerous Viruses.
