Shri Moreshwar Ganpati temple or Shri Mayureshwar Ganpati temple of Morgaon has great importance among the Ashtavinayak (pilgrimage of eight Ganesha temples) temples of Maharashtra. In fact, Morgaon Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple is one of the most popular Ashtavinayak temples. This small and beautiful temple is located on the bank of river Karha in Baramati Taluka of Pune district and is just 65 km from Pune city. This place also happens to be an adhya Peeth – the foremost center of worship of the Ganapatya sect, which considers Ganesha as the Supreme Being. The saint Morya Gosavi, a famous devotee of Ganesha was also born here. Every month on the day of Chaturthi abhisheka is performed by the Chinchwad Deosthan Trust on behalf of the devotees. Devotees can make donations for abhisheka in the office and collect receipts. The Prasad is sent by post to the devotees.

The offers Mahaprasada (Lunch) for all the devotees from 12 Noon to 2 P.M daily. This facility is provided by the Devasthana. Annadana fund is accepted here.
