The significance of Nathdwara Shrinathji Temple

The idol of Shrinathji at Nathdwara is believed to be’self-manifested’ or ‘Swaybhu‘. That means the idol of Shrinathji has appeared on its own and is not incarnated by humans. The idol originally appeared on Govardhan Hill but was shifted to present-day Nathdwara by priests due to socio-economic problems in that region.
