Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam 2026: The temple of Srikalahasti, located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, holds a lot of importance on Shivaratri. The Kalahasti temple is known as the Kashi of the south. About Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam 2026
The temple board is constructing three circles—Nandi, Bhakta Kannappa, and Shivaiah—on the highways that connect Nellore, Chennai, and Tirupati. The aim behind the ear circles was to attract devotees from all around the world. The festival starts on 10 February and ends on 23 February.
More than 3 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the temple on the day of Shivaratri. There will be no VIP darshan as decided by the temple board.
The Utsav, known as ‘Brahmostsavam’, is celebrated at the temple annually. The temple is all set and decked up with rangoli and light decorations to welcome the devotees. All the ‘Vahanams’ are ready with a fresh coat of paint to serve the Lord.
