Alandi – also known as Devachi Alandi (God’s place) is famous for the samadhi place of a famous Saint Dnyaneshwar- a famous poet known for translating Srimad Bhagwad Gita in Marathi. Every year Karthiki Yatra is held on Ekadashi of Kartiki month (Hindu calendar) on the Samadhi Day of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj in Pandharpur. Here are the dates, timings, routes, and schedules for Alandi Palkhi Yatra 2021.

Alandi Palkhi Yatra dates 2021 – Karthiki Wari

As stated by Alandi Devasthan manager Karthiki Wari in Alandi will be held from the dates 26th November 2021 to 3rd December 2021. Every year around 8-10 lakh people attend Alandi Mela.

Alandi Palkhi Schedule 2021

According to the Hindu calendar from Krishna Paksha, Saptami (26th
November) to Krishna Paksha, Trayodashi (2nd December) 
is considered to be auspicious dates for Alandi mela.

  • 27th November – the main program will start with the charan puja of Mauli’s Samadhi mandir between 09:00 am
  • 30th November – Pavman Abhishek Dudharati will be performed on Mauli’s Samadhi between 12:00 am to 02:00 am
  • 1st December – kirtan of Saint Namdeo’s descendants will be traditionally performed in the Mahadwara on behalf of Haibat Baba from 8.30 am to 10.30 am in Veena Mandap. 
  • 1st December – at 12:00 pm the bell will ring and the flowers will be showered
  • 2nd December – Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sanjivani Samadhi program will be held

Dnyaneshwar Palkhi Alandi Route

  • The Alandi Palkhi Route for Saint Dnyaneshwar goes here, the pilgrims start their spiritual journey on foot and carry Palkhi from Alandi in Pune. 

Alandi to Pandharpur Wari 2021

  • They reach the Pandharpur town from Alandi via the cities of Pune, Jejuri, Saswad, Taradgaon, Lonand, Natepute, Phaltan, Malshiras, Shegaon, Velapur, and Wakhri.
  • The main Palkhis meet at Pune initially, then at Wakhri, and then meet only before reaching the town of Pandharpur.
