Bhavnath Maha Shivratri Mela – Daily Schedule

During Mahashivratri, the following rituals and daily schedule are observed at Bhavnath Mahadev Temple.

11 February 2026 – Opening Day

  • 7:30 am – Dhwajarohan walk departure from Bharadavav
  • 9:00 am – Start of fair with Dhwajarohan
  • 5:00 pm – Girnar CCTV project launch
  • 6:00 pm – Grand Damru Yatra and Mahaarti
  • The Damru Yatra was held for the first time in the Mahashivratri fair, which became historic and unforgettable.
  • Grand entry under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Harshbhai Sanghvi and saints from different arenas across the country.
  • Devotional atmosphere with the roaring sound of “Har Har Mahadev” in Bhavnath Taleti.
  • After walking about 3 km from the Girnar door, offered clothes to the saints and received blessings
  • Daughters of all the society congratulated them with Kalash on their heads and flower showers all over the way.
  • Spiritual atmosphere echoing with the sound of huge trishuls, religious flags and damrus.
  • Self tribute to the Karamanbhai Katara statue
  • “The sound of Har Mahadev has reached every corner of the country from Bhavnath,” – Deputy Chief Minister.
  • Grand finishing with the presence of saints, public representatives and officers in Mahaarti and Yatra.
  • Cultural programs & initial devotional sessions continue late into the night.

12 February 2026 – 2nd Day of Mela

A special evening of bhajans and cultural programmes will be held at Bhavnath Mela.

As per the schedule, performances will be by:

  • Nanavati Brothers
  • Vipulbhai Trivedi
  • Darpit Dave

A concert by modern Gujarati hip-hop artists Aghori Muzik will also take place.

Visitors can enjoy:

  • Lokgeet (folk songs)
  • Folk Dayro
  • Light & Sound show

Many devotees attend these programs after visiting the Bhavnath temple.

The atmosphere stays devotional and joyful till late at night.

13 February 2026 – 3rd Day of Mela

As per the schedule, performances will be by:

  • Hareshbhai Suru
  • Jitubhai Dad
  • Rajdan Gadhvi
  • Lok Gayak Niruben Dave

The Path Oza programme is going to be held at night.

Jagdish Vishwakarma (Panchal) attended the Bhavnath Mahashivratri Mela as the chief guest and took part in the temple rituals and mela programs. His presence added special importance to the day’s celebrations at Bhavnath Mahadev Temple, Junagadh.

14 February 2026 – 4th Day of Mela

According to the schedule, performances will be by:

  • Shivraj Vala
  • Amudan Gadhvi
  • Mayurbhai Dave
  • Lok Gayak Dipakbhai Joshi

Renowned Gujarati singer Geetaben Rabari will entertain devotees with songs of Mahadev through her unique singing style.

Bhavnath Shivratri Cultural Programme Time Schedule

On 14 February 2026, a full cultural programme will be held at the Cultural Stage near Bhavnath Taleti. As per the official minute-to-minute schedule, the program will run from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

  • 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM – Junagadh District & Sessions Court
  • 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM – Shri Mayurbhai Dave
  • 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM – Shri Amudan Gadhvi
  • 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM – Shri Dipakbhai Joshi
  • From 9:00 PM onwards – Shri Geetaben Rabari

This cultural night is expected to attract a big crowd, so visitors should arrive early and follow the mela rules for a safe experience.

15 February 2026 – Mahashivratri Night (Main Festival)

15 February 2026 is the main and most crowded day of Bhavnath Mahashivratri Mela. On this night, lakhs of devotees visit Bhavnath Mahadev Temple because it is believed that Lord Shiva comes to Girnar on Mahashivratri. The biggest attraction of this day is the Shahi Ravedi procession, where Naga Sadhus come out from their akhadas with flags, tridents, and loud chants of “Har Har Mahadev.”

Ravedi Timings (15 Feb Night)

As per the traditional schedule and official arrangements:

  • 6:00 PM – Sadhus start gathering at the akhadas
  • 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM – Naga Sadhu begins the Ravedi procession
  • 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM – Ravedi reaches the Bhavnath Temple area
  • 12:00 Midnight – Main event: Shahi Snan at Mrugi Kund
  • After Midnight – Maha Aarti, darshan, and the crowd continue till early morning

Ravedi Route (Updated for 2026)

For 2026, the Ravedi route is extended to 2 km due to the large crowd. The procession starts from the Bhavnath Taleti area, passes through different Naga Sadhu camps, and ends at Mrugi Kund inside Bhavnath Temple.

Important Crowd & Safety Note

This night is the most crowded, so visitors should arrive early, follow police instructions, and use the given routes.
