Jalaram Bapa Temple located in Saurashtra, Virpur opens the main gate of the temple today on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, which was closed from 21st March 2020 due to the corona crisis.
Visitors are requested to keep social distancing, wearing a mask is mandatory and register as per government guidelines to take the token for taking darshan in the temple.
On the opening of the temple almost after 16 months the devotees are feeling very happy and visiting the temple to seek blessings. Devotees from all over the world were waiting for the temple gate to reopen and now when it is devotees from India and abroad have started visiting the temple to seek blessings.
The temple was closed several times in the first wave and second wave but the main gate was closed for a year and a half and is reopened on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima. The visitors are feeling lucky and blessed to get a chance to seek blessings on this day.
Jalaram Bapa Temple is the main shrine located in Virpur. The shrine is the actual place where Jalaram lived during his lifetime. The devotees believe that if they pray to the saint sincerely and their wishes are fulfilled then they do a fast and visit the temple on Thursday. It is known as Parchas. The “murtis” of Ram, Sita, and Lakshman is also found in the temple as it is believed that Jalaram was a devotee of Hindu God Shri Ram.
