Mansa Devi Temple Information
Mansa Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi. It is located at Haridwar in Uttarakhand. The temple is located atop on Bilwa Parvat on the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas. The temple, also known as Bilwa Tirth is one of the Panch Tirth within Haridwar.
Mansa Devi is one of the three Seedh Tirth located in Haridwar.
A large number of people visit the temple in Navratri and when Kumbh Mela is organized in Haridwar.

The Mansa Devi Ropeway is known as ‘MANSA DEVI UDAN KHATOLA SEVA.’ It is located on Mansa Devi Padestrian marg. You can buy tickets from there when you want to visit the temple. You can also buy combined tickets for Chandi Devi Temple and Mansa Devin Temple. There isn’t much rush at the ticket counter. It just takes about 20 minutes to buy the ticket. Later, you need to travel about 2.5 km to reach the temple which takes a maximum of 10 Minutes. The view from the ropeway is picturesque and comfortable. It’s also safe for children and senior citizens can also easily travel.
The ropeway facilities can be availed from early morning from 7:00 AM onward. Ropeway may be closed for a short while during lunchtime from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. And after 2:00 PM you can avail ropeway facility from till 7:00 PM in the evenings.
Mansa Devi Temple trek is different from Chandi Devi Temple. For Chandi Devi Temple you have to climb steps while for Mansa Devi Temple you have to trek a steep slope. The trekking distance is 3 Kms. If you are young and energetic and also a trek lover you must opt for trekking. While trekking, you will be evident to the glamorous beauty of Hardiwar along with Ganga in the background. Start your trekking early morning to avoid the rush.

Beware of pickpocketers. Do not take pets, they aren’t allowed at the temple. Take care of your belongings as there are numerous monkeys. Do carry some water and food packets. Do wear woolen clothes to keep warm. If you are trekking wear proper shoes. You can also take the help of guides.
