Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is a Shiv Mandir on Omkar Mountain, an island in mid-Narmada. It is one of the revered Hindu temples that is the centre of extreme faith. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada River; the shape of the island is said to be like the Hindu symbol.

There are 12 jyotirlingas, and Omkareshwar is one of them. On completion of the pilgrimage, all the Hindus come here and offer the holy water. Then only their visit to other pilgrimages is considered to be completed.
