Padmavathi Devi Temple

This temple is in Tiruchanoor, around 5 km away from the famous Tirupati Temple. It is one of the most powerful temples dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi. King Thondaman constructed this temple during the 16th century. He has attracted devotees from all over India since then.

The main deity inside this temple is Goddess Padmavathi. She is also known as Alarmelmangapuram It is believed that Lord Venkateswara Swamy came here for the darshan of his wife, Goddess Padmavathi. She emerged on the golden lotus.

Significance of Padmavathi Temple

Sri Padmavathi Devi Temple is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site in Tiruchanoor, India. It is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi Devi. Moreover, this temple holds significant religious importance for Vaishnavites. In the 16th century, the Vijayanagara kings built the temple. Later on, the subsequent rulers made additions to the original construction.

The temple’s deity, Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, is an incarnation of Mahalakshmi. Devotees visit the temple to offer prayers and seek blessings from Goddess Padmavathi. Every year, on special occasions, they decorate the temple with lights and flowers.
