The main temple is made of brick and cement, whose architectural style is similar to that of modern temples.
In the sanctorum, a Shivalinga and an idol of Lord Ganesha are enshrined. Moreover, the unbroken flame keeps burning continuously in addition to the main temple. Another grand temple is established on the temple premises, in which the grand idols of Lord Shiva, Bhairon, Mahakali, and Narasimha are installed.

History of Kunjapuri Devi temple
According to the legend Adali says, once Sati’s father King Daksha, organized a Yagya, in which he invited all the gods except Lord Shiva.
When Sati asked King Daksha, the reason for not inviting Lord Shankar, King Daksha said derogatory words about him. In anger Goddess, Sati jumped into the Yagya Kund. Lord Shiva came there after hearing the news of Sati being beheaded by King Daksha.
Lord Shiva mourning and placing the burnt body of Sati on his shoulder started doing Tandav. At that time there was a catastrophe-like situation. All the gods started urging Lord Vishnu to pacify Shiva. In the meantime, Lord Vishnu had divided the body of Sati into 51 parts with his Sudarshan Chakra, so wherever the parts of Sati fell, there were Shaktipeeths, and at this place, the Kunj part of Sati had fallen, due to which the name of this place is Kunjapuri Devi.
