Barda Wildlife Sanctuary: Gujarat’s Latest Jungle Safari Adventure
Barda Wildlife Sanctuary is located just 15 km from Porbandar. This hilly forest helps protect the area from coastal saltwater. It was declared a sanctuary in February 1979.
On October 29, Gujarat will open the doors to the Barda Wildlife Sanctuary and the first phase of the Barda Jungle Safari at Kapurdi Check Post in Devbhumi Dwarka.
Forest Minister Mulubhai Bera and Jamnagar MP Poonam Madam hosted this launch, which adds a new dimension to Gujarat’s eco-tourism and wildlife conservation efforts.
Covering nearly 192 square kilometres, the sanctuary offers visitors a chance to explore Gujarat’s wildlife in a quiet, natural setting—a great alternative to the more dynamic Sasan Gir.
