History and Facts about Shri Durgiana Temple
This temple was built in the 16th century in the year 1921 by the same architect who built the golden temple.
Both the temples are similar to each other i.e. Shri Durgiana temple (silver temple) and Shri Harimandir sahib(golden temple) due to their dome and canopies.
This Temple is also known as the silver temple because of the silver doors of the temple.
On the forecourt of the temple, there is a tree where Lava and Kusha jumped Hanuman after the captured challenge horse of the Ashvamedha yajna.
There is a handwritten copy of Ramayana in this temple which is written by Tulsidas. Shri Durgiana Temple has a special temple which is dedicated to him.
