About ISKCON Temple, Delhi
Iskcon Temple, Delhi is also known as the Sri Sri Radha – Parthasarthy Mandir. It was inaugurated in 1998. One of the largest temple complexes in India, the Iskcon temple houses the Glory of India Vedic Cultural Centre. This center is very popular with devotees who learn about the Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Ramayana, and the Puranas. Janmashtami is celebrated with great fervor and the entire complex is lit up with dazzling colorful lights.
World’s Largest Sacred Text – Bhagavad Gita
Iskcon Temple in Delhi possesses the world’s largest sacred text. This amazing copy of the Bhagavad Gita weighs 800 kg. and measures over 2.8 meters (Over 9 feet). This sacred text was unveiled in 2019.
