According to the report, the reason for building this high-speed train is to decrease the volume of traffic and from the success of the first Vande Bharat train which is running between Delhi and Varanasi.

• The train will have 16 coaches, fully air-conditioned.
• The train has reclining and rotating seats, mobile charging sockets and direct and diffused lighting
• It also has emergency windows, disaster lights and emergency push buttons.
• The train has a mini pantry with a hot case, bottle cooler, deep freezer and hot water boiler.
• It also has a passenger information system, CCTV cameras and Wi-Fi.
• The train has bio-vacuum toilets and sensor-based water taps. There is a special lavatory for physically challenged passengers.
• The train offers onboard catering with vegetarian and non-vegetarian meal options.
• The train has automatic doors, smoke alarms and an odour control system.
• Time travel between Katra and Delhi will be reduced by 40%.

Timing of the Vande Bharat Train 18:

• Timing of the Train from Delhi to Katra: Start the Journey at 6:00 AM and reach Katra at 2:00 PM and the next train is at 3:00 PM and reaches Katra at 11:00 PM.
• Timing of the Train from Katra to Delhi: Start the Journey at 5:50 AM and reach 2:00 PM at New Delhi and the next train is at 2:55 PM and reaches New Delhi at 11:00 PM.

Note: Train runs regularly in a week except Wednesday.
