Amarnath Yatra begins on June 30 | Online Registration

Amarnath Yatra 2022 Latest News- A meeting was held on Sunday of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board chaired by Lt governor Manoj Sinha, in which the decision was taken to commence the Amarnath Yatra on June 30. 

After a two-year gap, the yatra to the holy pilgrimage will commence on June 30 on Raksha Bandhan for 43-day. Amarnath Trek which is 36 to 48 km is visited by a number of devotees and enthusiastic trekkers. The yatra will end on August 11.

Amarnath temple is located in South Kashmir at a height of 13,000 ft. from sea level, dedicated to Shri Amarnath.  Amarnath cave is the abode of Mahamaya Shakti Peetha, which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. It commemorates the location of the fallen body parts of Mata Sati.

Facilities by Amarnathji Shrine Board

  • The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has set a daily capacity of pilgrims per route of 10,000 pilgrims. 
  • Free Battery Car Service will be provided for pilgrims between Baltal and Domel (2.75 km).

Amarnath Yatra 2022 Online Registration

Registration for Amarnath Yatra begins on 11th April. Devotees can register themselves for Amarnath Yatra at https://jksasb.nic.in/register.aspx. They need to fill in the necessary details and select the route of their choice.

As stated in a high-level meeting held on Friday to review the logistics and security preparedness of the Amarnath Yatra, the movement of each pilgrim in Amarnath Yatra will be tracked with the help of Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) tags. RFID tags will be provided by the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB).

The meeting was chaired by Union Home Secretary and attended by the officials of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, chiefs of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), and the J&K police.

Before vehicles carried by the pilgrims were tracked through the tags. And was provided by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

 

Documents required for Amarnath Yatra Registration

  1. Prescribed Application Form
  2. Prescribed CHC (Compulsory Health Certificate) by Authorized doctor
  3. Four passport-sized photographs (3 for yatra permits and 1 for application form)
