Velavadar is famous for its Blackbuck National Park, located an hour’s drive from the north of Bhavnagar.  This beautiful national park is spread over an area of 34 square kilometres. There are over 120 species of birds that you can find in this national park, along with blackbuck.

Velavadar Blackbuck National Park Safari Timings

The park is open most of the year but remains strictly closed in monsoon from the 15th of June to the 15th of October, as this is the breeding season for blackbuck and very important species like the lesser florican, the smallest bustard.

There are two safari timings, and the Forest Department issues a limited number of permits for each time slot.
