Parli Vaijnath temple is one of the twelve jyotirlinga temples. Parali is a taluka in the Beed district of Maharashtra and is primarily known for the temple. According to mythology, it is said that Ravana on his way from Himalaya to Lanka was carrying this Jyotirling and Narad Muni conned him into dropping the Linga at this very place. The Linga is believed to have been stuck here since then.
