Ganga Aarti Timings

Ganga aarti is the most magnificent event in Varanasi. You should not miss it. The aarti is performed by a group of priests at Dashashwamedh Ghat.  Dashashwamedh Ghat is just 500 Meters from Kashi Temple.

A special type of aarti is performed on sacred occasions, religious festivals and Tuesdays.

The Aarti is performed by a priest. These are dressed up in the same cloth, dhoti and kurta with a tightly bound Kurta and Kurta with a long towel. They make the preparation of Ganga Aarti.

  • The devotees gather around 90 min before the Aarti. The morning aarti begins at 5:30 AM. Aarti in the morning is evident to sunrise.
  • In the evening, the announcement of aarti is by 6:45 PM. The actual Aarti begins at 7:00 PM. The Aarti last for45 min.
