First-ever twin-engine seaplane service in India
You might have seen seaplanes in movies, probably in countries like Australia, the Maldives, and Canada. However, it will be the first twin-engine seaplane in our country. With this service, Gujarat will make history in Civil Aviation in India. The route is from Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad to Statue Of Unity, Kevadiya.
The seaplane will start on 31st October on the occasion of Sardar Jayanti by PM Narendra Modi.
Under the Udan Yojna, a total of 14 water aerodromes are going to be built in India. From which four places are in Gujarat. Other than the Statue of Unity, places like Dharoi Dam, Mehsana, and Shetrunjay Dam, Palitana are also in consideration for the same facility.

A tripartite agreement has been signed between the Gujarat Government, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and Airports Authority of India.
