About Bhadra Maruti Temple

Bhadra Maruti Temple in Khuldabad, Maharashtra is an ancient pilgrimage with its history going back to the Ramayana era. In this temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the Murti is in a reclining position. Vayu Putra Shri Hanuman has Himself chosen this spot to stay forever and bless devotees. Hanumanji is Shri Ram’s greatest devotee and is always lost in devotion.

Amazing story and miraculous recovery of Murti

When Shri Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas with the Dronagiri Parvat and  Sanjeevani to revive Lakshmanji, He stopped to rest here. While resting He heard King Bhadrasena singing hymns in praise of Shri Ram. Hanumanji went into Bhava  Samadhi. This is how He can be seen to this day. The Murti was hidden for protection during the Mughal period. It was then lost and forgotten but was miraculously found in 1966.
