Shri Shiv Mandir, Delhi is one of the most beautiful Shiv Mandirs in Delhi. Located near Delhi Gate. This temple is relatively unknown but is one of the older temples in Delhi. In this temple, the large Murti of Lord Shiva can be seen sitting in Padmasana and emerging from the roof. It is as if Mahadev is watching the world. Besides a Shivling, other deities like Kal Bhairava, Shani Dev, Ganeshji, Radha – Krishna and Parvati Mata are also enshrined here.
Unique Peepal Tree
A most attractive and unique feature of this temple is the large Peepal Tree inside the temple. The ceiling of the temple has been built around it and the trunk of the tree goes through the roof.
