The Yogi government is implementing new measures to give a divine and grand look to the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. One of these steps includes constructing the Ganga Path along the banks of the Ganges at a cost of ₹95 crore.
This new pathway will help ease traffic congestion, providing relief to over 41 crore tourists and devotees visiting the event.
A selfie point will also be created along the road, allowing visitors to capture memorable moments during the event.
Kumbh Mela 2025 Detail
Kumbh Mela is very important in Hinduism. It is held every three years, rotating between four places: Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik and Ujjain. The Ardh Kumbh happens every 6 years and the Maha Kumbh is held every 12 years in Prayagraj. The upcoming Maha Kumbh will be in Prayagraj in 2025.
The Yogi government is actively preparing to make the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, set for January, a grand event. A special “Sanskriti Village” will be created to highlight spirituality and culture. Spread over 5 acres, this village will host events for 45 days, allowing devotees to experience Sanatan traditions.
The Sanskriti Village will also feature Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) displays of the cultural, spiritual and historical aspects of Maha Kumbh. In the fairgrounds, 30 large gates based on spiritual themes like Trishul, Swastika, Kalpvriksha and Damru will also be built.

Types of Kumbh Mela
The four types of Kumbh Melas conducted in India are as follows:
