Ujjain Mahakal Temple: Sanctum sanctorum is closed for devotees till January 5. With the ongoing Christmas and New Year vacations, there is a huge rush of devotees in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain city. Hence the management committee has decided not to allow tourists in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum for 10 days.
The ban will be effective till January 5. With that, new arrangements have been made for the mahakal darshan.
As stated by a senior district official, for security reasons, mobile phones are banned inside the temple premises from December 20.
