Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple also Known as Yadadri Temple traces its history back to the Treta Yuga and is also known as ‘Pancha Narasimha Kshetram’. This is the place where Rishi Yadarishi meditated and did penance in a cave with the blessings of Hanuman Ji. Pleased, Lord Vishnu appeared before the Rishi in five forms. These are the five forms worshipped in the temple. This temple is mentioned in the Skanda Purana and other holy texts. The sanctum of the temple is located inside this cave.

History
The sage Yada, son of Rishi Shrunga performed a hard penance to God Narasimha. Pleased with this, Lord appeared in 5 different avatars. These are Jwala Narasimha, Yogananda Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha, Gandaberunda Narasimha and Lakshmi Narasimha.
Architecture
The temple was built by the Thenkalai tradition of Vaishnava Agama Shastras. With the knowledge of ancient designs and Agama shastras architect P Madhusudhan and famous Film set Designer Anand Sai were selected.
The unique thing about the temple is its design as no bricks or cement are used. The temple has been constructed with black granite to make it resistant to wear and tear for the next century.
Prasadam
100 Kg of Pulihora Prasadam and 6 Kg of Daddojanam Prasadam are distributed freely to the pilgrims in the temple daily.
Mystical Sudarshan Chakra at the top of the Shikharam
Glowing brightly at the top of the Shikharam built over the Sanctum of the temple is a golden Sudarshan Chakra, 3 feet in diameter. The Chakra moves on its own at times and it is believed it used to guide pilgrims in earlier days when there were no proper roads or signs.
