Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Yadagirigutta Temple History
Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple also Known as Yadadri Temple traces its history back to the Treta Yuga and is also known as ‘Pancha Narasimha Kshetram’. This is the place where Rishi Yadarishi meditated and did penance in a cave with the blessings of Hanuman Ji. Pleased, Lord Vishnu appeared before the Rishi in five forms. These are the five forms worshipped in the temple. This temple is mentioned in the Skanda Purana and other holy texts. The sanctum of the temple is located inside this cave.
Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Yadagirigutta Temple Reopen
As announced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday the awaited inauguration of the famous Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Yadagirigutta Temple will be on March 28 when a ‘Maha Kumbha Samprokshana’ marking the formal opening will be held.

After 5 years darshan of swayambhu Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy will resume from 28th March. Know more about Geo-tagging below
Good News for Devotees of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, darshan at the main temple will finally open on 28th March. As the temple is reopening the temple will be decorated with flowers and special arrangements on the hill shrine.
Panchakundathmaka Homam in Balalayam
Arrangements are completed for panchakundathmaka Homam in Balalayam which will be held for seven days from 21st March to 28th March as a part of Maha Kumbha samprokshana at Yadadri.
Mystical Sudarshan Chakra atop the Shikharam:-
Glowing brightly at the top of the Shikharam built over the Sanctum of the temple is a golden Sudarshan Chakra, 3 feet in diameter. The Chakra moves on its own at times and it is believed it used to guide pilgrims in earlier days when there were no proper roads or signs.
1400 Acre Yadadri Temple Complex Project Coming up:-
The idea of a new temple complex came up in the year 2015. It was the dream of the Telangana Government to develop Yadadri into a temple town on the lines of Tirupati. The cost of the project is a whopping INR 1800 Crores. The best sculptors, builders, architects and craftsmen have been roped into work on the project.
The new temple will have seven Gopurams with wooden roofing, with one 100 feet Gopuram. The complex will include housing for priests, tourist facilities, cottages, and residential buildings, and more.
Yadagirigutta Temple Highlights of the New Temple Project Construction:-

- Multi-Level Parking for 7000 vehicles
- Entire Temple is made of Black Granite
- 2.7 km Road around the temple for Pradakshina
- 30,000 Visitors expected Daily
- 25 Acre Flower Park for temple use
Besides the 1400-acre complex, an adjoining area of 2000 acres is being developed as a tourist destination. It will have a lake, shopping malls, food courts, marriage hall, Bus depot, and residential hotels. The project has been delayed considerably but is now scheduled to be completed by the first half of 2021.
