“Jay Maa Samaleswari”
Samaleswari temple is a temple of Goddess ‘Samaleswari’ located in Sambalpur, Western Odisha, India. Shree Samaleswari, the preceding deity of Sambalpur, is a strong religious force in the western part of Odisha and Chhattisgarh in India. The temple is located on the bank of river Mahanadi in the western part of Odisha in India.

Samaleswari Temple Darshan Open: 6:00 am – 9:00 pm
Samaleswari Temple Darshan Closed: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm due to Anna Lagi and 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm due to Alati.
Samaleswari Temple Durga Festival
Sodasha (16 days) Durga Puja rituals will be held at Samaleswari Temple from 17th September and the lighting of Manasika Deepa (Holy earthen lamps offered to appease the Goddess for the fulfillment of certain wishes) will start on September 26.
Temple trust has given the schedule for this year which means 2022 for the puja of the Durga Festival at Maa Samaleswari temple, the presiding deity of Sambalpur.
As per the schedule, “Puja Jiuntia Osha”, a special ritual, will also begin at the temple from 17 September onwards. The Goddess will be embellished in Dhabalmukhi Bhesha ( white face getup) by devotees on September 25.
As stated by the main priest of the temple, Maha Saptami and Maha Ashtami will be held on October 1 and 2, respectively. In the same way, Maha Navami and Maha Dashami will be held on 3 and 4 October respectively.
