Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Temple Shrine With No Idol
There is no idol or picture of the goddess Amba in the Nij Mandir. But there is a simple cave-like Gokh on the inner wall, which contains a gold-plated Holy Shakti Visa Shree Yantra with 51 Bijpatra. It is carefully placed so that it is visible for devotion, but it was never photographed and will never be photographed.
Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust has developed a big Havan Shal, which contains one main Havan Kund and eight small Havan Kund in the Chachar Chowk near Nij Mandir.
The Main Temple of Ambaji has a big Mandap, the Holy Gokh of Mataji in the Garbhgruh, in front of the huge Chachar Chowk carpeted with beautiful marble near Yagnashala.
The newly constructed Main Temple Nij Mandir is worth seeing all the time and its wonderful carvings on artistic renovation display Indian traditional culture.
All the ritual worships of Ambaji is performed in Chachar Chowk The temple has a glorious Suvarn Kalash Shikhar, shining at 103 feet high on the top of the temple and weighing more than 3 tonnes as a whole.
It is specially made from a single marble, brought out of the mines of Arasur Hill and has been plated with pure gold. It is attached to the Holy Long Flag of Ambaji and Trishul.

Gabbar Tirth History
According to the Indian Scriptures, Gabbar Tirth is situated on the bank of the origin of the Vedic Kunvarika river SARASWATI, in the hills of Arasur in Ambica Forest, on the old hills of Arvalli.
Gabbr Tirth is just 5 km from the Ambaji Temple and there are 999 steps to climb the hill and reach the temple. This temple is situated on the border states of Gujarat and Rajasthan at a height of approximately 480 metres, or 1600 feet, above sea level, with a total area of 8.33 sq km (5 sq mi).
The story told in the “Tantra Chudamani” states that part of Devi Sati’s dead body’s heart fell on this holy peak of Gabbar.
Gabbar Tirth in Ramayan
It is believed that in Ramayan, Lord Rama and Laxman arrived at the Ashram of Shrungi Rushi in search of Sitaji. Shrungi Rushi told them to worship Devi Ambaji at Gabbar and after doing so, Jagat Mata Shakti Devi Ambaji gave him the arrow named “Ajay.” Through this arrow, Rama defeated and killed Ravan in the battle.
Gabbar Parikrama Path
Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust has developed a parikrama way around the Gabbar hill. The new attraction is the 51 Shaktipeeth darshan, which is associated with 50 different temple replicas from each Shaktipeeth across old-age India.
The temples are made the same as they were at their original locations. One can darshan all 51 Shakti Peeth by doing Parikrama of Gabbar Hill.
We have provided the Gabbar ambaji timing above. Every devotee must read this timing before visiting the Ambaji Temple.
Ambaji Ropeway Service
There are 999 steps to climb the hill and reach Maa Ambaji Temple. Ambaji ropeway service is also available for those who are not able to reach the temple by climbing 999 steps. Udan Khatola built a ropeway at the top of Gabbar Hills in 1998.
