Vedasara and Kumudavalli
Vedasara was a devout Brahmin. He and his wife Kumadavalli were ardent devotees of Lord Vishnu. They lived on the banks of the Thamirabarani River. One day Kumadavalli was abducted by Amasura, a demon. Vedasara prayed in earnest to Perumal Swamy for protection. Lord Vishnu went to the place where the demon lived and killed him.
